presentation of media product

http://prezi.com/kinqatkggdpc/media-music-presentation/

This is the outcome of my media product. front his experience if i where to go back and redo the media product again, i would  do the music magazine the exact same  but  replacing the the background with another yellow  background. This would make it much easier to read the writing that is on the left third of the magazine. although  the words are very visible  the words don't really stand out.
overall i was satisfied with the outcomes of my media product  and believe that the colour coordination blended in well with one other which therefore made the magazine alluring and grab the readers instant attention.  This was an objective that i felt i had succeeded very well.
The writing was a slight change from my original plan, which i had changed because the writing style that i had before i had my final style was  to simple and dull unlike the final where it brightened the magazines and was unique and funky.
The  images i had chosen for my media product was clear and very visible  and reasonable sizes that were not to big but not too small.
mixing slang quotations and proper English was to attract the target audience, where they will feel a personal connection with the media product  by relating to  the common slang used within the magazines.
my media product turned out better than i had expected.

my double spread page

My double spread page is an interview on the upcoming collage band.
Using adobe photoshop i managed to create a consistent yellow background with white arrows that are formulating different shapes and patterns.  I choose this consist background because  it matches with the front cover background but more simple than the front cover. the yellow background that represents the bright colours  that are usually used to represent dancehall and hiphop.

WHAT MAKES IGNITION IGNITION is the article title of the interview. this i choose because it is a rhetorical question that allows the reader to think about what really does make the band IGNITION tick and be who they are. Not only this but it is appealing and grabs  the readers attention  to make them want to read on and find out what does make this new band who they are. within the title IGNITION  i have used onomatopoeia to emphasis the power  that the band has.

The writing style that i have used for my  interview questions is Ravi Latin  in Size10.37 which i selected because the writing style is funky, hip and modern nd out of the ordinary. With the written illustrations i continued with the same colour scheme red and black  so that the colours are consistent. The black i used for the titles or questions or subheadings were as the red i used for other information aside from titles subheadings and questions. for the answers to the questions i used wide Ravi Latin size 9.37. This was consistent with the writing style of the questions.

This was my first image that i placed on to my double spread page.  I choose these image because it shows the girls who are within the band and they are dressed in urban fashioned clothes that are colourful and stand out.  This image was taken outside in the bright light so that the wind blows through their clothes and hair so that it look extra exaggerated.  having the girls looking extra and divas perfectly suited the music genre dancehall and hiphop because it is exaggerated and crazy and has a lot of attitude.

this is  the second image of the boys in the band. i wanted the boys to look extra and to look as though they were vain but cool.  To represent the bright colourful colours that go along with dancehall and hiphop the boys where dressed in casual  bright clothing that stands out and is very eye catching.  the image was taken out in the nature outside.

This is the third image that i  used of the group band. I has the girls positioned around one of the boys in the band. This was to represent how close the band is together and they look like a big diva family. this picture  i choose because the positioning of the band members are exaggerated and have a lot of attitude. this represents the dancehall genre  where it is based around attitude and exaggeration. The image was taken  in front of a red and brown brick wall because the wall makes the picture look more urbanised. The band dressed in colourful colours to look appealing and extraordinary  and different these are their signature colours which makes them unique.

my music contents page

For my contents page i wanted it simple but outrageous. However continued with the same colour background and  the red and black Wide Latin writing.  Placing the contents title on the side of the magazine just made the magazine seem unique from other music magaqzines that placed their contes titles top on the middle of the page which seemed to be much popular with music magazines.

The writing that i used for my contents title was Wide Ravie Latin writing. I choose this wriiting  because the style of the writing looks urban and very different to usaul common styles.Placing trh introducing just made it seem appealing  and gave an outrageours positioning.

The  page numbers on my contents magazine i positioned them diagnolly beside the horizental written illustrations. This made the written illustrations stand out and look alluring and appealing. The writing consists of two main colours red for things that readers will find inside the magazine and black for subtitles and titles.

In my contents page i wanted to use three main  iconography's because  i wanted them to represent the written illustartions on my contents page. The three mian images consist of an image of the new and upcoming band,  an image of  the behind scenes of beenie man and an image relating to the fashion tips.

Some of the written illustrations are bigger than the other illustrations, this is because they draw an instant attension and they make the contents page stand out when the size of the writing is very differernt.

My Music Front Cover magazine

My music magazine  is a Hiphop and Dancehall music magazine, which i selected because  this is the kind of music that appeals to my interests. Not only this but  both  music genres hiphop and dancehall combine to enforce the rhythmic feel of freedom through dance and hard based sounds that are fast instrumental with different instruments such as piano, electric guitar, drums with the mixture of nature sounds or the heartbeat of a human being.

The title of my magazine is WHINE UP which is a shorter way of verbally saying lets dance. Before i came to a final decision  of  the title WHINE UP i had generated several different names for my music magazine. these were  HEAVY ROTATION, IGNITE, SEEN, RAH BWOII, HOT WUK, FAB-WHINE. All these names suit the music genre Hiphop and Dancehall, however they are ad hormone titles meaning that they represent other meanings and may sound like other genres or give an image that goes away from
Hiphop or Dancheall music. Also these names are to common which is why i went for WHINE UP,  it is unusual and makes one think about  the tile which then makes it catchy to people because it is not an everyday phrase you here.

The selling line RE-ENFORCE THE FUSION OF VIBES  stand out and relates to how we can all get back into the vibes that we tend to ignore looking through the the magazine. In other words the music magazine takes you away to the good time of fusion of vibes. My selling line is very simple using onomatopoeia  in fusion to emphasis the musical journey that readers would be taken through.

My music magazine is a monthly magazine which is why the price is £3.90. Doing some ssecondary research on  prices in other monthly music magazines within the same music genre. They were priced at a minimum price of £4.50. For my music magazine pricing my magazine at £3.90 was suitable to my target audience of  C1 - C2 class.

For my background for my front cover using photoshop with a mixture of firework to create a urban based background, formulating shapes to create arrows and a black pattern. This made the yellow, black and white blend in with one another to make the front cover appealing and eye catching.

My main image is a group of collage sixth formers who formed a band called IGNITION
On the bottom of my main image i placed written illustrations of different artists that represent the music genre of hiphop and dancehall music and illustrations of what genre the music magazine is.

The  most hardest part of making my front cover was that it was hard to mix and  match  colours so that they beond with one another ,while standing out and being eye catching and readable. Another aspect that was very difficlut about making my front cover of my music magazine  was that  gettign the right writing style that suited the music genre was very hard because the writing had to look unusual  than normal common day writing styles.

my final title

This is my final finished title that i produced on graffti creator. this  is very  bright but also it is easily readable. it matches with my background   fof my fornt cover onaccpunt of teh background is yellow with red, balck and white graffti drawings. which makes teh title blend in with the desighn on my front cover. the title is WHINE UP which  is another way of saying a wild creative dance.  the yellow glow on teh background stand out and blends in with the background making the background seem as though the title is faded into the background. the black stripes on the title it makes the title look unique and very creative and orignal because it is not the kind of style that you would see in everyday titles and it embraces the hiphop theme.

the first attempt at my title

My magazine title is WHINE UP.  This was my first attempt to do my title. The jamacian colours even though  it stood out it was very hard to make out what was written. The  jamacian colours respresented  the dancehall  theme with a mixture of  hiphop because most colours  that represent the dancing, wild theme is green, yellow, white and red. This title was very hard to match with my yellow background because the yellow i had placed on the title was very dull light yellow were as my background was alluring bright yellow.

what the music represents for the photos for my music magazine

for  my music magazine i am going to be focusing on hip hop and dance hall genre.  i choose this type of music  because i am very interested  in hip hop and dance hall music.  dance hall  is  the type of music that concentrates on embracing hard bass of drums and guitars infusions into ones ear. the beats are very fast and energetic.
hip hop  is the type of music that concertrates on using everyday sounds as beats such as the heart beat of a human heart or the cries of an animal  creating beats that are fast but powerful. dace ha;l and hip hop both have many factors in common they balance between fast, energetic, powerful and effective music to your ears. the main sound  that dance hall and hip hop creates  is the enhancement of the hard bass.

In most music videos and magazines, photos or any association to these two genres you will find that the colours are always  bright and allures someones attention  instantly. not only this but  body positions  in any image illustrations that has to do with hip hop or dance hall the positions are always outrageous and are never limited inside the box. they are  body positions that  are abnormal and strike a crazy weird but stunning style.

With my models for my music magazine  the costumes for them was very bright clothing that stands out and  is very eye catching.  i choose this because hip hop and dance are very out going, outrageous, different, unusual type of music just like bright colours.  the pictures   that i photographed contain a mixture of  three boys and 4 girls. the band IGNITION were Timi, Miriam, Debbie, Gandy, Silvia, Mutsa, Eman

the  picture have the models wearing bright clothing and very outrageous posing in an outdoor location. an outdoor location was the best location for this type of music  because it as surrounded by nature and i wanted to get images of  the wind blowing in the models faces which makes their clothing look more baggy and more loose.
they all had to do an instant pose often most outrageous pose they would never do in normal pictures.

the boy's in ignition i wanted to look ghetto and hood were as the girl's i wanted them to look hood but fabulous hood. with music such as hip hop and dance hall the boys are always seen as the ghetto more dominate characters and the women are always seen as the independent more fierce characters.

for the boy's i had them position sitting on the bench because i wanted them to look as though they were boss boy's and  to come across as intimidating, then i wanted to make the girls to come across as diva's but sensitive.

dance hall is a seductive type of music that embraces the beauty and depth girl's beauty are regardless of how someone look.s it embraces all types of beauty and body. so i photographed the girl's in ignition surrounding the boys in the band showing the different beauty that is represented within the music.
